Motorcycle Rally Finder - about the owner of this site.
Hello, my name is Rodney, and I am a Rallyholic!
I was born in a relatively small town in Montana, and remember from an early age seeing large numbers of motorcycles going through town, bound, as I found later, for the great Sturgis Rally, just one state and three hours away. At that time, my Dad owned a Harley Davidson panhead, so I grew up longing for one of my own and a chance to make that three hour journey to Sturgis, SD.
Unfortunately, it took until after I joined the United States Navy before I started fulfilling that dream. I bought my first motorcycle in California in 1972, and went to several real small bike gatherings, but it was enough to get me hooked... wanting more.
I was transferred to Virginia in 1975, and finally got my opportunity to attend one of the "big ones" the following year. Daytona Bike Week, 1976, got into my heart and soul, and I have been going every chance I got ever since.
Now, settled down in another small town, this time in central North Carolina, I have had many expeditions to the Myrtle Beach Spring and Fall Bike Week, one to Laconia, one more to Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and numerous smaller poker runs, pistol shoots, and charity runs.
