Bikes, Blues & BBQ Motorcycle Rally
Sep 24th, 2008 through Sep 27th, 2008
Promoting itself as the worlds largest non-profit bike rally, and family friendly, Bikes, Blues & BBQ Motorcycle Rally is set in the Ozark Mountains, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This rally has grown in leaps in bounds since its inception, with the 2006 event bringing an estimated 350,000 visitors. These numbers rival the 'Big Four', so watch out if Bikes, Blues & BBQ Motorcycle Rally ever expands to a full week event...one of the 'Big Four' will be unseated!
Bikes, Blues & BBQ Motorcycle Rally is named for three of the basics that attract more and more bikers to Fayetteville during the event:
- The Bikes - A Custom Motorcycle Show, with 11 categories, is held at Tyson Track Center. A motorcycle giveaway occurs each year. And well over 100,000 bikes show up for the weekend.
- The Blues - Two stages, one at Tyson Track Center and the other on Dickson Street, host numerous bands, from local to national attractions. In addition, live entertainment is offered by many of the local venues. There is something here for everyone.
- The BBQ - Bikes, Blues & BBQ Motorcycle Rally hosts the Arkansas State BBQ championship. Whether it be chicken, pork, or brisket, you will find many competitors to sample, so bring your appetite and your bib.
Make your plans early if you will attend Bikes, Blues & BBQ Motorcycle Rally. Many of the motels are full as early as January for this event. And plan on enjoying the ride...after all, Bikes, Blues & BBQ Motorcycle Rally takes place in the fall, when the trees in the Ozarks are full of vibrant colors.

Motorcycle related laws to know while attending Bikes, Blues & BBQ Motorcycle Rally
One of the common complaints when returning from a major motorcycle rally is about the law being rampant, and giving tickets out for every minor infraction. While we cannot stop all tickets from being given, some of those tickets are due to you, the attendee, not being aware of some of the standard laws in the state. Below are some of the most common laws for Arkansas. Be aware, though, that many rally locations have recently passed local ordinances that may be more strict than the state law. For example, a new noise ordinance was passed in Myrtle Beach just in time for the 2005 Fall Rally. I make every effort to keep this information up to date, but you may want to research them more just prior to going to an event, just in case they have changed.
