Thunder Beach Spring Motorcycle Rally
Apr 30th, 2009 through May 3rd, 2009
Thunder Beach motorcycle rallies are known to many as "The Most Biker Friendly FREE Rally in the United States". Why are these Rallies considered to be some of the friendliest in the country? First, Panama City has been a Spring Break destination for years. Secondly, it's located in the South just under Alabama, so it has all of the Southern charm of a small city. The goal of the promoters of the Thunder Beach Rallies is to give the bikers a good old fashion bike rally without all of the hassles. Thunder Beach Productions understands that if the bikers are happy that they will spend their money.
Thunder Beach Spring Motorcycle Rally is divided into five separate venues, all with free parking, their own vendor areas and live entertainment. Showing their commitment to the enjoyment of the Bikers, beer is sold at reasonable prices...how many Sporting events have you gone to and had to face $6.50 longnecks? At Thunder Beach Spring Motorcycle Rally this does not happen, which adds to the festivities and leads to better bar crawls.
The five venues to choose from during Thunder Beach Spring Motorcycle Rally are:
- Shops at Edgewater - This is where in 2002 the first Thunder Beach Spring Motorcycle Rally began. This is where the main part of the rally takes place. It is full of quality restaurants and watering holes to take care of your needs.
- Boardwalk Beach - This venue features indoor and outdoor vendors, a 1500 foot beach party pavilion with beer and a full bar. Here they also hold the Miss Thunder Beach contest, have daily lingerie shows and the all important breakfast buffet. You can't party all day without that all-important Breakfast (or really late dinner)
- Pier Park - A great example of the commitment to the Thunder Beach Rallies on the part of the City and local Businesses. It is currently being built up by the developer of the largest mall in the Country, Mall of the Americas in Minnesota. For the rallies, it is home to the bike builders and manufactures.
- The Spinnaker Beach Club - One of the standards that rallies are built around. It houses the dyno testing so you can see just how your bike can perform. It also has over 25,000 sq feet of vendors ready to optimize the performance of your bike.
- The Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort - The home of the TIKI BAR, home of The Kick-Off night party with live bands, free BBQ and free BEER, home to wet tee-shirts and bikini contest, home to the party that you won't want to leave.

Motorcycle related laws to know while attending Thunder Beach Spring Motorcycle Rally
One of the common complaints when returning from a major motorcycle rally is about the law being rampant, and giving tickets out for every minor infraction. While we cannot stop all tickets from being given, some of those tickets are due to you, the attendee, not being aware of some of the standard laws in the state. Below are some of the most common laws for Florida. Be aware, though, that many rally locations have recently passed local ordinances that may be more strict than the state law. For example, a new noise ordinance was passed in Myrtle Beach just in time for the 2005 Fall Rally. I make every effort to keep this information up to date, but you may want to research them more just prior to going to an event, just in case they have changed.
